Coding, -J528 - Roof Electrics

 

The code of the roof electronics control unit is composed of individual numeric values. For each equipment feature there is a special numeric value. At the end of the coding the sum total of all numeric values is calculated and the overall coding for the vehicle is produced (see coding example).

Note

When is optional and when is standard selected?

The standard specification should be selected if the climate sensor and/or the EC interior mirror are fitted in the vehicle.

Otherwise, if for example a sun roof and/or rear/side roller blind and/or garage door opener and/or light sensor and/or driver identification and/or ... are additionally fitted, the optional extra variant should be selected.

 

The code is composed as follows:

10.        16 = Rear roller blind fitted - Pr.no. 3Y2

11.        32 = Rear and side roller blind fitted - Pr.no. 3Y8

12.        0 = Driver identification (fingerprint) not fitted

13.        64 = Driver identification (fingerprint) fitted - Pr.no. 4K5/4K6

14.        0 = Lighting profiles not active;  Pr.no. QQ0/QQ2

15.        128 = Lighting profiles active;  Pr.no. QQ1/QQ3

16.        0 = Garage door opener not fitted - Pr.no. VC0

17.        256 = Garage door opener fitted - Pr.no. VC1

18.        0 = Light sensor not fitted

19.        512 =  Light sensor fitted - Pr.no. 8K9

ST Important The light sensor -G399 should not be confused with the rain and light sensor -G397. The rain and light sensor -G307 is coded in the onboard power supply control unit -J519. If the rain and light sensor -G307 is fitted the light sensor must not be coded in the roof electronics control unit -J528.

The country variant is only relevant when a garage door opener is fitted.

Interior monitor sensitivity adjustment

In adaption channel 01 the sensitivity of the interior monitor can be adjusted.

A setting between 50% (minimum) -100% (maximum) is possible.

The factory set default is 100 %. Adaption is always carried out for the entire system.
