Remote Key Fob Matching

For this procedure, you must have
1) VAG COM
2) A laser cut key (just one is "needed")
3) Up to 4 compatable remotes to program

 

 

With VCDS
Select [46 - Cent. Conv ]

Select Adaptation - 10

First enter channel 00 this will set all settings back to factory.

Enter channel 01

press Read

This is will sometimes display the number of currently stored remotes in "Stored Value". But you may just see 00

Enter 01 in the field

Press Test

Verify that the number in Test Value field is the one you entered.

Look at the top of VCDS the words Key Adaptation. should appear, you now have 15 seconds to push the unlock button on your remote (hold it down for two seconds) or until it says Key learned.

 

Press Save

The car may now signal that the remote was learned (either a flash of lights or a beep of the horn. dont worry if it doesnt.

for subsequent remotes follow the same procedure but add the next number in to the test value field.

 

Continue until all remote fobs have been coded.
