Equipment variants:

 01XXX    : Enlarged tank capacity 90 l (only 6-cylinder petrol and diesel)

 02XXX    : Seat belt warning active (only USA)

16XXX    : Navigation (only if navigation without connection to data bus display)

 

Country variants:    

 XX0XX   : Germany

 XX1XX   : RoW left-hand drive (including Brazil)

 XX2XX   : USA

 XX3XX   : Canada

 XX4XX   : UK (always right-hand drive)

 XX5XX   : Japan left-hand drive

 XX6XX   : AGCC states (Arab states)

 XX7XX   : Australia (also New Zealand)

 XX8XX   : RoW right-hand drive (also South Africa)

 XX9XX   : Japan right-hand drive

 

Engine variant:

 

 XXX60   : All 6-cylinder diesel

 XXX62   : All 6-cylinder petrol, naturally aspirated

 XXX64   : All 6-cylinder petrol, turbo

 

 XXX80   : All 8-cylinder diesel

 XXX83   : All 8-cylinder petrol

 XXX84   : All 8-cylinder petrol, turbo

 

 XXX65   : All 12-cylinder
